Upward Bound Homeless Shelter

We were honored to be a part of the Upward Bound House, an emergency shelter for homeless families in a small converted motel room. We repurposed a donated bench seat to create a custom banquette with storage in the dining area of the room.

An emergency shelter for homeless families. Bunk beds in the children’s area are custom painted in harmony with the slate blue wall and contrast with the wood wall and dresser.

At this corner of the shelter, a custom panel doubles as a daybed and headboard for the sleeping area, lounge and storage function.

Across from this, we find the kitchenette and children’s bunks adjacencies are separated by a wood paneled wall surrounding the bath.
